1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to MetaC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and MetaC ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the MetaC browser extension wallet (the "Extension" or "Service").

By installing, accessing, or using MetaC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Extension.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use MetaC. By using the Extension, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
• Your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction

3. Description of Service

MetaC is a non-custodial, client-side cryptocurrency wallet extension that allows you to:

• Generate and manage cryptocurrency wallets for multiple blockchains (BTC, DOGE, SPACE, etc.)
• Store encrypted private keys locally on your device
• View balances and transaction history
• Sign and broadcast blockchain transactions
• Interact with decentralized applications (DApps)
• Manage tokens and NFTs

Important: MetaC is a non-custodial wallet, meaning you have complete control and responsibility for your private keys, seed phrases, and digital assets. We do not have access to your funds and cannot recover your wallet if you lose your seed phrase or password.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Security of Your Wallet

You are solely responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and seed phrase (mnemonic)
• Securing your device and preventing unauthorized access
• Backing up your seed phrase in a secure location
• All activities that occur under your wallet

WARNING: If you lose your seed phrase or password, we cannot recover your wallet or funds. Never share your seed phrase or password with anyone, including people claiming to be MetaC support staff.

4.2 Compliance with Laws

You agree to:

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
• Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not use the Service to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, or other criminal activities
• Comply with all tax obligations related to your cryptocurrency transactions

4.3 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Extension or related systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
• Use the Service to transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The Extension and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MetaC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

6. Risks and Disclaimers

6.1 Cryptocurrency Risks

You acknowledge and accept the following risks associated with cryptocurrency:

• Volatility: Cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile and can fluctuate significantly
• Irreversibility: Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible once confirmed
• Loss of Funds: Sending funds to incorrect addresses may result in permanent loss
• Network Risks: Blockchain networks may experience delays, congestion, or failures
• Regulatory Risks: Cryptocurrency regulations vary by jurisdiction and may change
• Security Risks: Your wallet may be vulnerable to hacking, phishing, or malware attacks

6.2 No Investment Advice

MetaC does not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. The Service is a tool for managing digital assets, not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any cryptocurrency. You should consult with qualified professionals before making any financial decisions.

6.3 Third-Party Services

MetaC may integrate with or provide access to third-party services, DApps, or websites. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and conditions.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, METAC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or data
• Loss of cryptocurrency or digital assets
• Loss of business opportunities
• Service interruptions or delays
• Unauthorized access to your wallet
• Errors or inaccuracies in the Service

WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF $100 USD OR THE EQUIVALENT IN YOUR LOCAL CURRENCY.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content
• Warranties that defects will be corrected

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MetaC and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

10. Updates and Modifications

10.1 Service Updates

We may update, modify, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

10.2 Terms Updates

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Displaying a notification in the Extension (for significant changes)

Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the Extension. You should ensure you have backed up your seed phrase before uninstalling.

11.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, for any reason including:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Extended periods of inactivity

Since MetaC is non-custodial, termination of access does not affect your ability to access your funds using your seed phrase with other compatible wallets.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through:

1. Informal Negotiation: Contact us first to attempt to resolve the dispute informally

You agree to waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

13. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MetaC regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
